It Is Not the Artist But the Publishers

I listen to lot of tech netcast. One item that pops up a lot is pirating music and movies versus fair use. The thing that bothers me the most is the MPAA and the RIAA claim to be protecting the artist but they are really protecting the Studios and Labels business model. It seems clear to me the technology has dictated that it is time for a new business model. I am sure the buggy makers did not like the car companies and I am sure that the candle makers did not like light bulbs and I am sure the publishers will fight against technology until the lawyers have all their money.
